Hello... I am not quite sure where to begin. I am excited to finally have a blog, and cannot wait to discover new ways to improve it. My days have always started out with an energy drink, cigarrette, then shower and a fun bicycle commute with my two kids to school. People have always asked me this rhetorical question...
"Why don't you buy a car?" . Well.... my answer to them is almost always "Why don't you buy a bicycle?". My husband and I have planned our lives so that we are not subject to the ever fluctuating price of oil, car insurance, and not to mention the price of a car. We live close to work and school so that we can achieve this way of life. I believe that any other random family can do the same.
We live in a community that doesn't neccesarily support our way of life. Most people here own huge SUV's and cannot understand why anyone wouldn't want the same. Most of the locals have a severe case of tunnel vision. But somehow we have survived this mentality, and are pretty well known for it. What is my point? I suppose it is that I wish that more people would become who they want to be instead of listening to what everyone else wants them to be.
